The Grand Palais turns its nave into what it calls the world's largest indoor ice rink for the festive season. The 2026 version adds a large moon hung beneath the glass roof, and there is a separate area where younger children can learn to skate.
By day natural light falls on the ice. In the evening the organiser programmes light shows and DJ sets, and food and drink are served for breaks between sessions.
